Celine Dion “Falling into You”
This is the ultimate album of love. When I first heard of this assignment, this album was the first thing to come to mind. The album first couple of songs “Its All Coming Back To Me Now,” and “Because You Loved Me” talk about how wonderful it is being in love. About how it feels to have someone to depend on and how much better a person can make another. Most of the songs in the middle of the album talk about how just the same thing. Some songs talk about more physical aspects of love, such as “Seduces Me” and “Declaration of Love.” The song “All By Myself” and “I Don’t Know” deals with the loss of love. They talk about not wanted to be without love. The major theme of the album is how love is the basis of life. Every song talks about how important and uplifting a life with love is, and how without it, life would be hard.

ReplyDeleteI can’t believe I didn’t think of these songs/this album! My mother played these ALL the time when I was younger and she was cleaning. I think these songs are an awesome example of lyrical sequence about love. All of her songs are wonderful, good job! I wish I’d thought of Celine Dion!
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of Celin Dion I always think of the theme song from Titanic. As I listened to the songs from this album I see she is a true romantic. This album gives a great example of the then and now friction of love.

I remember one year, when I was about 6 years old and my older sister was in college she sent my mom this Celine Dion CD and she told her to listen to "Because You Loved Me". This album really is all about love, and not just the love that you share with a boyfriend/girlfriend. These songs remind us how important love is. :)
